Douglas or someone: save me wading through the legislation, would you: what is section 92?

Ah yes, I was a bit lazy there. It says that ISPs have to delete their customers' stuff if that stuff might infringe copyright. They have to do that pretty much as soon as someone claims a breach of copyright -- there's no need for proof. It's new this year: ...

just after you've been to Tiny Noise in Lisboa, head north-east to Asturias, Spain for the Homo Ludens Ludens conference and exhibition..

LABoral Centro de Arte y Creaci?n Industrial presents HOMO LUDENS LUDENS, an international exhibition and conference examining play as a principal element of today's world, and highlighting its necessity for our contemporary societies. Following the exhibitions GAMEWORLD and PLAYWARE, that reflected respectively on the different playful and social sides of gaming creativity and interactive art, HOMO LUDENS LUDENS now sets the setting that embraces these data and looks into the notion of play in a wider spectrum, presenting how it has evolved in our digital times. http://www.videoludica.com/news/gamescenes/game... http://www.laboralcentrodearte.org/exhibitions/show/63

if you are planning to turn up, email me and we can have a proper Asturian cider together in Gijon. ...

no. didn't think of that in time.

worth mentioning i think you should submit it to:

Well I would, except for 2 things. To quote http://www.indiecade.com/index.php ?/events/submissions/

Submit the $25 processing fee.

I've given up on anti-royalties. They just don't seem to work for me. Maybe I should start a festival.

i didn't know they now had a fee. that's disappointing.

And:

If you plan to submit a work that is on a non-standard game operating system (e.g., Linux), please plan to have a representative on-site to be responsible for installation, or to supply hardware with the game fully installed to the Festival.

It's the indie-but-not-too-indie-cade. I can understand that they have limited technical resources, but I can't work out how they figured Linux was non-standard for indie games. This just makes it impossible for me.

i have to confess that Fijuu2 - a game a friend and i had in the last edition - is perhaps the unspoken culprit there. ...
